چکیده
S EVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES of commercially available control specimens (Chemonitor,* Enzatrol,* and Versatol, A, A Alt., E, and E-Nt) are employed by many laboratories for quality control purposes. These control specimens may be submitted each day for each determination performed in the laboratory. Unless the concentrations of these control specimens are made to vary in some unpredictable fashion, unconscious bias on the part of the technician can detract somewhat from the value of any quality control system. The desired “blind” samples can most easily be obtained by varying the dilution of the control specimen. Those preparations which are in the dry form and are reconstituted with distilled water are the easiest to use for this purpose in that any volume from about 60 to 140% of the recommended volume may be effectively used. By thus varying the volume of water added, concentrations much higher or lower than the stated value are obtained. Of course, only one value is stated by the manufacturer for each constituent, namely, that obtained when the recommended reconstitution volume is used. For example, in the case of Versatol and Chemonitor, this value is given for dilution by the addition of 5.0 ml. of water, and in the case of Versatol E and E-N and of Enzatrol, the value is given for 3.0 ml. of water. The concentration is not simply inversely proportional to the volume added when other than the recommended volume is used. In order to calculate the concentration of a given constituent when other than the

Economic Statistical Design of Multivariate T^2 Control Chart with Variable Sample Sizes
Today, quality improvement and cost reduction are key factors for achieving business success, growth and position. One of the primary tools for quality improvement and cost reduction in online activities of statistical process control is control charts. As the need for monitoring several correlated quality characteristics is extensively growing, the use of multivariate control charts become...
متن کاملOn the multivariate variation control chart
Multivariate control charts such as Hotelling`s T^ 2 and X^ 2 are commonly used for monitoring several related quality characteristics. These control charts use correlation structure that exists between quality characteristics in an attempt to improve monitoring. The purpose of this article is to discuss some issues related to the G chart proposed by Levinson et al. [9] for detecting shifts in ...
متن کاملMulti-objective Economic-statistical Design of Cumulative Count of Conforming Control Chart
Cumulative Count of Conforming (CCC) charts are utilized for monitoring the quality characteristics in high-quality processes. Executive cost of control charts is a motivation for researchers to design them with the lowest cost. Usually in most researches, only one objective named cost function is minimized subject to statistical constraints, which is not effective method for economic-statistic...
متن کاملAn economic-statistical model for production and maintenance planning under adaptive non-central chi-square control chart
Most of the inventory control models assume that quality defect never happens, which means production process is perfect. However, in real manufacturing processes, the production process starts its operation in the in-control state; but after a period of time, shifts to the out-of-control state because of occurrence of some disturbances. In this paper, in order to approach the model to real man...
متن کاملEconomical-Statistical design of one- sided CCC-r control chart based on analytical hierarchy process
The cumulative count of a conforming (CCC) control chart is used for high quality processes. The CCC − r chart is an improvement of the CCC chart that is based on the cumulative number of items inspected until observing r non-conforming ones. This paper aims to propose a new approach for manufacturer’s decision making according to the criteria among the available options. The o...
